Eeekkkk! Tomorrow is Valentine's Day! What screams "Valentine's Day" more than Red Roses? Lets be honest, nothing! Roses get quite expensive on this day! But, let me tell you my secret. The place to get the cheapest are from Trader Joe's.  They are just $4.99! They are beautiful, fresh, and cheap! What more can you ask for?

valentines day #9: get ready for your date: casual, fancy, lazy

Target Socks 

There are so many ways you can spend Valentine's Day and make it super special. It can be cuddling up on the coach in PJs and comfy socks. It can be going out on a casual adventure. Or it can be super fancy schmancy, getting all dressed up to go to a fancy restaurant.  There is no right or wrong, but what is PERFECT for you! Of course, no matter what we do, we always need to look cute!!!

J.Crew Pajamas 

Let's start off with the lazy and cuddly date! You can get cute PJ pants and some fuzzy socks! I got my PJ pants from J.Crew ($10), they are absolutely perfect. They are red flannel with white polka dots. Of course, we needed to get some fuzzy socks to keep our tosies warm! I picked up a pair at Target, they have such a great variety of Valentine's Day socks for under $4.  What are your lazy and cuddly date must haves? 

Gap Sweater

Next, is our casual date adventure! Mhmm... what to wear?  Well, I am all about comfort and being warm. Where I live, it is still in the dead of winter! A comfy sweater is just perfect! But, obviously we need to wear some red or pink just to be festive. I picked up this sweater ($11) from Gap! Gap has a great selection of sweaters, and when you get them on sale they are very affordable. I love stripes on it, but this sweater is great because it has the red, but it is also very versatile.  I definately will be getting some good use out of it!

Anne Taylor Loft 

Saving the best for last! It's the fancy schmancy date attire! Since it is places. On top of that, it's super comfy! The other dress I loved was black with gold detailing.  Of course, black isn't the ideal color for this day, but hey! black dresses are a classic right?  I love the gold detailing on the dress, it makes it so unique and gives an extra sparkle. valentines day #8: small heart gift

Valentine's Day is all about hearts, chocolate, flowers, and girly things! What are your favorite gifts to get on this day?  While I was shopping in Vera Bradley, they have a cute new Limited Edition Sweetheart Coin Purse. I think this is the perfect gift to give a special person in your life. It has the Valentine's touch to it, the flowers, and is quite practical. Right now it is $18 (until Valentine's Day), originally $23. They come in all different patterns! What pattern do you like best?

Hello Gals! Well, life has definitely been getting a little crazy here with not even a moment to breathe. But hey, I am sure we can all stop to eat or make a yummy treat, right? To me the best treats are the homemade ones (well, made from a box is kind of the same right)!  Valentine's Day is the perfect day to make those sweet treats such as cookies, cakes, and my favorite CUPCAKES! YUUUMMMMMMM!!! With my super busy week, I decided to make my treats from a box (but, if you make them from scratch you get those extra bonus points!).  My favorite cupcake mix is Pilsbury's Funfetti, but it's Valentine's Day so they have a Special Edition out! You can get this at any grocery store, Target, or Walmart! I picked mine up at Walmart for $1.50.  They also have Valentine's cookie and brownie mix.

While I was shopping at Marshall's I saw the Valentine's display with goodies on it. The Red Velet Cupcake Mix definetly caught my eye! It was $6.99, which is a little pricey! But, they are perfect color for Valentine's Day.

Of course you can't forget the best part of the cupcakes or cake right?? THE FROSTING!!!! Pilsbury also sells Special Edition Valentine's Day Vanilla Frosting with heart sprinkles!!! SO CUTE! I definately love to go all out with making my cupcakes fancy. You can add a drop or few drops to your icing to make it pink or red, to add that special Valentine's touch.  Sometimes I add crystal sprinkles to give it that extra sparkle. Right now they have them at Target in the One Spot, for just a $1.  

Lastly, how can we forget that we need to pack those sweet treats up to give to our special loved ones! Target has Valentine's Cello Treat Bags for just $1. They definetly put the perfect last touch!

valentines day #6: cupcake socks

Two things that are perfect for a girls night in are: cupcakes and comfy socks! It's been snowing like crazy and all I want are some warm and fuzzy socks to keep me nice and toasty. In the One Spot, Target has some super cute fuzzy socks all rolled up in to a cupcake! They are the perfect little gift for your friend on Valentine's Day! valentines day #5: cards, cards, cards

Doesn't matter what occasion it is, I must admit, I am always forget to give a card! I will get the present and it will be wrapped, but its always missing the card! This year, I am definately going to try to be better with that! I'm a girl that loves, loves, loves getting cards! I love how personal they are, how they make me feel all warm and happy inside, and the best part is, they always put a smile on my face. Do you like getting cards? This Valentine's Day, don't forget to get a card for that special someone in your life! You can either make them or buy them! To save even more money and make them even more special you could use pictures or draw something! But, me being super busy in college, I found some super super cute and inexpensive cards at Target ($1) and Walmart (97 cents). I must say the Target ones are by far prettier. I love the extra details on them and for a 3 cents more its so worth it! Where do you get your cards?

monograms & initials

I LOVE MONOGRAMS! They are basically my favorite thing ever. If I could monogram everything I would. It's my biggest obssession! I monogramed my wall, my phone, my laptop, my necklace, and my bracelet. And let me tell you I am not done yet! I just love my initials, I love things personalized. I know monograms are not cheap. Who am I kidding, anything that is personalized isn't cheap. But, Target is selling silver inital necklaces for $5.99, now that is cheap! But wait, they are on clearance for $1.78! That is such a steal! They are so cute and you can definately wear it everyday! I picked up a few for me and my friends. Do you like personalizing things? What is your monogram?

It's so close to Valentines Day! Just 8 days! No matter if it's Valentines Day or not I really like the shape of a heart. I love eating anything in the shape of a heart, I like hearts on my clothes, I like drawing hearts, basically as you can see anything to do with a heart.  I just can't help it! Over the weekend, while watching TV I kept on seeing the Dunkin Donuts commerical and they have heart donuts!!! Now, who can say no to a heart shaped donut! But, I know eating a donut is a treat. So I waited till "treat yourself thursday" to indulge in one. Let me tell you, strawberry frosted are my favorite donuts and with it being shaped as a heart with cream in the middle made its even better! Have you gotten yourself one yet? Zara is such a classy store.  I feel like such a grown up when I shop there. There collections from clothes to accessories are so fashionable, but at the same time timeless. Did you know that Zara only needs two weeks to design a new product! Now that is "fast fashion." They are always on point with their style. I love how this store is International.  How there clothes aren't just US styles, but a little touch of other countries as well. They are having an amazing sale. Shirts from $5.90 to $12.90, sweaters from $12.90 to $19.90, and many other pieces as well. Almost the whole sale is on sale and you can find something for the entire family, from womens, to mens, and kids. What do you think of Zara? 

valentines day #3: casual sparkly date outfit

What are you doing for Valentines Day? Is it a date night with your boyfriend? husband? fiance? dad? Or is it girls night? No matter what, there is nothing wrong with a little sparkle in your outfit. I am defintely gal that loves looking cute in a casual and comfy way. Don't get me wrong, there are definately times to get dressed up and feel glamourous. football jacket

Ever since I was old enough to watch chick flicks, I always wished I was just as cool as those girls in the movie. In many movies, there are always girls wearing a guys football jaket. I thought it was the "thing" to do. Of course, me being me, I never had that opportunity too wear one. Haha, I never even had a friend on the football team. But, Victoria's Secret Pink sells them and they are absolutely adorable.  When I tried it on and looked in the mirror I felt my little high school self come out again. However, they are pretty pricey, $125!! But, at my mall the semi annual sale is still going on! The jacket was on sale for $25! That is $100 off! It's such a cute jacket to just wear for fun!

I also really love their PJ sets, they are so comfy to lounge and sleep in.  They are currently on sale for $17, from $50! That's a pretty good price for a two peice VS set.
